Nottingham Forest produced one of their most eye-catching Premier League wins by beating Brighton & Hove Albion 7–0 at the City Ground.

The scoring began with a Lewis Dunk own goal, before Morgan Gibbs-White headed in the second and Chris Wood took over the afternoon. Wood scored a hat-trick, including a penalty, while Neco Williams and Jota Silva added late goals to complete the rout.

Anthony Elanga helped drive the win with three assists, turning the match into a landmark result in Forest’s push near the top of the Premier League table. The scoreline was also Brighton’s heaviest league defeat for decades, making the result stand out beyond Forest’s own season.

The day gained an extra place in supporter folklore because Nottinghamshire pub 'The Gedling Inn' on Main Road in Gedling had offered customers a free pint for every Forest goal. After the 7–0 win, the pub reportedly gave away hundreds of pints, turning a huge home victory into a story remembered well beyond the pitch.
