Worrall and Mighten supporters awards
On this day in 2021 Worrall and Mighten win Forest supporters awards.
Joe Worrall and Alex Mighten were recognised by the Nottingham Forest Supporters Club after a difficult Championship season.
Worrall was voted Supporters Club Player of the Year, a reward for his consistency, leadership and connection with the fanbase. In a campaign that offered limited celebration, his performances gave supporters a reliable figure to identify with.
Mighten was named Young Player of the Year, which also mattered. As an academy graduate breaking into the first-team picture, he represented a different kind of optimism: local development, youth, and the possibility of something fresh emerging from within the club.
Supporters awards are not trophies in the usual sense, but they can say a lot about how a season felt from the stands. They highlight the players fans trusted, appreciated, or wanted to see succeed when the wider campaign was uneven.
For Worrall and Mighten, the awards captured two different Forest stories: a committed senior defender carrying responsibility, and a young player beginning to make his mark.
