Bohinen chip caps win at Spurs
On this day in 1994 Lars Bohinen scores a brilliant chip as Forest win at Tottenham.
Lars Bohinen completed one of Nottingham Forest’s most stylish Premier League away wins with a superb chip at Tottenham Hotspur.
Forest won 4-1 at White Hart Lane, with Steve Stone opening the scoring and Bryan Roy scoring twice before Bohinen added the fourth. The Norwegian’s goal came late in the match, with Forest already in control but still looking sharp on the break.
Bohinen received the ball from Bryan Roy and saw Ian Walker off his line. Rather than drive the ball low or look for a safer pass, he lifted a calm, measured finish over the Tottenham goalkeeper from distance.
The goal is remembered because it looked effortless. It had imagination, technique, and confidence, the kind of finish that stays in a supporter’s mind beyond the final score. In a heavy away win, Bohinen’s chip became the moment that gave the match its lasting image.
