Igor Jesus first EPL goal sinks Wolves
On this day in 2025 Igor Jesus scores his first Premier League goal as Forest beat Wolves 1-0 at Molineux.
Igor Jesus gave Nottingham Forest a valuable Premier League away win by scoring the only goal against Wolves at Molineux.
The match finished 1-0, with Jesus claiming his first Premier League goal for Forest. Omari Hutchinson, making his first league start, supplied the cross, and Jesus rose above Emmanuel Agbadou to head the ball in after Sam Johnstone failed to claim it.
The night also carried frustration. Jesus had earlier seen a header ruled out after a long VAR check, with Dan Ndoye judged to be offside and interfering with Johnstone’s vision. That delay became one of the talking points of the match, but Forest still found a way to leave with the points.
For Sean Dyche’s side, the result moved Forest four points clear of the relegation zone and gave them three wins in four Premier League matches. For Jesus, it gave a personal landmark: a first Premier League goal in a Forest shirt, and one that won the match.
