Nuno Espírito Santo’s Premier League Manager of the Month award captured just how far Forest had travelled in a short space of time.

The prize was for December 2024, when Forest’s form pushed them into the top end of the Premier League table and changed the way the wider football world spoke about the team. Nuno had arrived a year earlier with the club still thinking first about survival. By this point, Forest were being discussed as one of the division’s most surprising stories.

The award was also personal recognition. It was Nuno’s second Premier League Manager of the Month prize in three months and the sixth of his Premier League career.

For Forest supporters, the significance was clear. This was not a cup upset or a one-off result, but national recognition for sustained league form.

The award belonged to a period when Forest looked organised, confident and difficult to beat. It gave a formal stamp to a run that had already made the City Ground feel very different.
