Jorge Grant earns new deal
On this day in 2015 Jorge Grant signs a new Forest contract.
Jorge Grant signed a new two-and-a-half-year Nottingham Forest contract, with the option of a further year, as the club rewarded his progress around the first-team squad.
The midfielder was still trying to establish himself at senior level, but the deal showed that Forest saw enough promise to keep him involved beyond the short term. Sky Sports reported that Grant had made three senior appearances for the club at that point.
For young players, contract news can feel like a small administrative moment, but it often marks an important stage in a career. Grant’s agreement gave him time and security while he continued trying to turn promise into regular first-team football.
His Forest career did not become a long senior spell. He later had loan moves away from the club and eventually joined Lincoln City permanently, but this contract remains part of his Forest story as a young midfielder trying to make the step up.
