Victory at Burnley by three
On this day in 2003 Forest win 3-0 at Burnley in League Division 1.
Nottingham Forest produced a strong away result at Turf Moor, beating Burnley 3-0 in League Division 1.
Forest struck early through Marlon Harewood, whose seventh-minute goal gave the visitors the lead. Burnley had time to respond, but Forest remained in front until the closing stages.
The result was made safe late on. Andy Reid scored in the 76th minute before Gareth Taylor added the third in the 82nd, turning a useful away win into a convincing one.
For supporters, the scoreline mattered because it came away from home and against a Burnley side who were often awkward opponents in the division. Forest left Turf Moor with three goals, a clean sheet, and a result that stood out clearly in a demanding second-tier season.
